Off Road triathlon is growing at a rapid rate and why wouldn’t it?
Off road racing offers a variety of new challenges to the sport of Triathlon with steep mountain climbs, loose sand or rocky surfaces and fast downhill single tracks. Sounds daunting? Well actually no.. It all part of the fun! We have a sessions designed to enhance your riding skills so you can be ready to tackle any terrain.
Based at the Nerang velodrome our sessions consist of 1.5 hours on a Thursday morning predominantly skills based training.
Our coach Micheal Ronning mountain bike professional educates on areas such as cornering, negotiating a variety of obstacles, climbing and importantly effective and safe breaking. We also train on a Sunday morning at a variety of locations such as bay view, Nerang or Hinge dam. The Sundays are more a aerobic longer ride with a run off.
At DirTy Rex we have a high priority for fun and thats exactly what we incorporate into every session. We love the sport and the social aspect to with our winter focus being MTB races in a variety of locations with camping involved. Its a family affair!

Sessions are approximately 90 minutes and offer a variety of mountain bike riding and off road running.
